ICYMI: Shah's Halal Opens In Huntington

HUNTINGTON, NY — Shah's Halal, a chain of Long Island halal food restaurants, opened its 12th location Friday with a grand opening event featuring free entrees to anyone who shows up. The Huntington Village location is at 399 New York Ave.

Friday's grand opening featured a DJ, a mask giveaway and one free entree dish— chicken, lamb, falafel, or kafta—to anyone who arrived between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

In an homage to the tradition of adding cold cheese started by Little Vincent's Pizza, Shah's Halal will add cold cheese to any dish upon request.
