It’s Restaurant Week in Huntington!! Best Places to Dine...With Children?

Did you know it’s Long Island Restaurant Week? All this week through Sunday, April 10, participating restaurants across Long Island are offering a three-course prix fixe for $24.95 per person all night (except Saturday, when it is only available until 7 p.m). With its plethora of eating establishments, we can all be proud that our very own Huntington is widely considered one of the top destinations on Long Island to dine out. We’ve got almost every type of cuisine imaginable, from Brazilian to French, Mexican to Japanese to...well, you name it (um...do cupcakes count as ‘cuisine’?). This week is a perfect chance to try out some new places if you are lucky to enjoy a date night or a night out with friends, but not every establishment is necessarily a good mix with...your children. And let’s face it -- do you really want to spend $25 on a kid’s meal??

So enjoy yourself if you get a chance to get out and enjoy a nice meal -- but when you’re inclined to head out with your entire family and aren’t sure where to go, wouldn't it be great to have a go-to list of the best local ‘family-friendly’ restaurants (and no, McDonalds doesn’t count)? Or, maybe you frequent the same pizza place every week and are just looking to branch out and try something new. So, parents-in-the-know, let’s hear it: What are your favorite places to take the family for breakfast/lunch/dinner - and why? Does the loud music drown out your child’s whining? Are High-chairs plentiful? Is the staff warm and attentive? Does the menu offer healthy choices for picky eaters? Are the prices budget-friendly? Armed with this information, you will feel confident stepping out to enjoy a good meal with your entire family in our wonderful community.
