Jeep Crashes into Halesite Home

The driver of a Jeep Cherokee was taken to a local hospital after police said the vehicle crashed into a Halesite home Saturday night.

The crash occurred on Creek Road at 9:11 p.m. and the driver was transported to Huntington Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

No criminality is suspected.

The Huntington Fire Department and Suffolk County Police responded to the crash.

Firefighters were on the scene with an engine and heavy rescue truck, under the command of Chief Jesse Cukro. The Huntington Building Department was also called to check the damage to the house.
