
The Suffolk Piano Teachers Foundation (SPTF) will honor Katie Tian, fifth grader at Cantiague Elementary School in Jericho as Third Place Winner of the early advanced division at the Honors Recital and Awards Ceremony to be held at Stony Brook University's Staller Center Recital hall on Thursday, June 2, at 5pm and 7:30pm.
As a third place winner, Katie will receive her medal and certificate. She performed Nocturne in f minor, Op.55, No.1 by F. Chopin at the March competition. Katie is a student of SPTF member, Lawrence Schubert.
SPTF wishes to honor Barry Tonolini and thank Steinway Gallery of Long Island for their generous cash award donations for all first place winners of the five-level competition. SPTF is a non-profit organization. Honors recitals are free and open to the public.
