John Glenn High School Raises More Than $16K, Wins Polar Plunge Title Again

Generosity was on full display as the John Glenn community once again claimed the top Polar Plunge honor.

ELWOOD, NY — Elwood-John H. Glenn High School made a splash this year at the Town of Oyster Bay’s Polar Plunge at Tobay Beach on March 28, earning its third consecutive Cool School Challenge Champion title.

Students, staff, and the entire school community
came together in a powerful show of school spirit and generosity, raising an outstanding total of $16,238 for the Special Olympics of New York.

“While braving the icy waters was a thrill, the true heart of the event was the powerful show of school spirit and our community’s commitment to making a difference,” teacher Diane Locascio said. “This achievement highlights the incredible unity and pride that define our school. Thank you to everyone who supported this great cause.”
