Kitten at Little Shelter Gets a Miracle
The 9-week-old kitten came into the shelter unresponsive last week, but she's now on her way to a full recovery.

A 9-week-old kitten was brought to a Huntington animal shelter last week in rough shape.
The kitten was covered in ticks and parasites, her eyes were completely shut, she was unresponsive and would not eat.
She needed a miracle.

The staff at Little Shelter nursed her back to health. They removed the ticks embedded in her skin, gave her eye drops, treated her with a de-wormer and prescribed her antibiotics.
She’s now doing well at the shelter.

Fittingly, the staff named her Miracle.
Little Shelter hopes her eyesight will be okay. Miracle has even started to eat again and reveal her true, sweet, playful personality.
Miracle isn’t the first animal Little Shelter has saved. The privately-run shelter cares for hundreds of animals each day and looks to make a difference in the community.
Anyone who wishes to help the shelter, who runs entirely on donations, can visit the Little Shelter website or visit the shelter at 33 Warner Road.
