Large Tree Falls On House, Propane Truck In Lloyd Harbor

The incident occurred Monday afternoon.

A large tree fell down and struck a house and a propane truck in Lloyd Harbor on Monday afternoon.

According to fire officials, the Huntington Fire Department responded to the West Neck Road home, near Pheasant Drive, to find that a large tree was resting on a house and a truck making a delivery in the driveway at 1:10 p.m.

Firefighters secured the scene with the Lloyd Harbor Police Department and checked the truck and tank. No leaks or damages were found and no electrical wires were involved, fire officials say.

A tree service was contacted to safely remove the tree. No injuries were reported.

The Huntington Fire Department responded with one engine, under the command of Assistant Chief Rob Conroy assisted by Deputy Chiefs Brian Keane and Scott Dodge.
