Legislator Spencer will hold a press conference at noon today at the Halesite Firehouse to educate on the dangers of Carbon Monoxide and the signs and symptoms of poisoning. January has been declared Carbon Monoxide Awareness Month in Suffolk County. Halesite Fire Department was selected to host this event after a very successful community campaign where over 500 Carbon Monoxide detectors were given away to residents free of charge thanks to a FEMA grant in 2013.
