Huntington Station Man Sexually Abused Girl For Years: SCPD
Suffolk County police said a man sexually abused a girl when she was between 10 and 13.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A Long Island man sexually abused a girl over a span of three years and sent inappropriate messages to a second girl over several months, Suffolk County police said.
Thomas Costas, 50, of Huntington Station, was arrested Monday. An 11-year-old Huntington Station girl and her family reported to police on Friday that she had received several inappropriate text messages Costas between January and July, police said.
On Saturday, a second woman came forward and said Costas sexually assaulted her from September 2007 through June 2010, police said. She was between 10 and 13 and living in Huntington Station at the time, police said.

Costas, a known acquaintance to the families of both girls, was arrested at his home at 4:25 p.m. Monday, police said. He was charged with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, fourth-degree stalking and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
