Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently kicked off his second annual Summer Reading Challenge. As part of the challenge, students pledge to read 15 minutes or more each day for at least 40 days during their summer vacation.
“Studies show that children who read as part of a balanced lifestyle during their summer vacation perform better in school the next fall,” said Lupinacci. “More importantly, reading exposes students to adventure, mystery and countless other worlds. That’s why I’m encouraging students to take advantage of the upcoming summer vacation as the perfect time to grab a good book.”
