LUPINACCI HONORS WALT WHITMAN HIGH SCHOOL

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently awarded the Assembly’s highest honor, the Assembly Proclamation, to Walt Whitman High School upon its recognition as one of the Top 20 High Schools on Long Island according to US News and World Report. The High School improved last year’s national and state rankings by 87 and 21 points, respectively. Whitman was ranked 64th out of the 1,147 high schools in New York State and 18th out of the 120 schools on Long Island.

“The hard work and dedication of educators, administrators and students in the district is represented by the progressive improvement from past year’s rankings,” said Lupinacci. “The administration and staff at Walt Whitman High School provide outstanding educational programs and extracurricular opportunities to meet the needs of all students. Walt Whitman is a thriving educational community that fosters an excellent atmosphere for learning and growth.”
