LUPINACCI PASSES CRITICAL LEGISLATION FOR VETERANS

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci successfully passed legislation to protect the brave military veterans in New York State.

As the 2015 legislative session drew to a close, Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) continued his efforts to recognize and protect the brave military veterans in New York State. Both the Assembly and Senate passed Assembly Bill 8174-A, which Lupinacci co-sponsored, to provide any honorably discharged military veteran the ability to collect up to three years of retirement service credit for their military service.

“I have the utmost respect for every soldier who has honorably served our country. These brave men and women deserve equal opportunities to receive retirement service credit, regardless of when they served or what their duties were,” said Lupinacci. “I’m proud to have co-sponsored this bill to ensure our veterans are treated with the respect they have earned. I hope the governor will make the right decision by signing this bill into law as quickly as possible.”
