Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently presented an Assembly Proclamation to Margaret Norton in celebration of her 104th birthday. Margaret, an active member of the Cold Spring Harbor Lions, taught English Language Arts to students in the sixth and eighth grades for 38 years at the East Side School in Cold Spring Harbor.
“Margaret is a tremendous woman who has accomplished amazing things during her 104 years of life,” said Lupinacci. “It is especially inspiring to see how active she remains, especially with the Cold Spring Harbor Lions Club. Of special note, in 2007 she produced ‘Maggie's Memories: A View of Cold Spring Harbor,’ recounting the days of her youth and her life in Cold Spring Harbor. I want to wish Margaret a very happy birthday!”
