Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) will join the Huntington Elks Lodge No. 1565 and local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops for a flag retirement ceremony on Saturday, June 14. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Huntington Elks Lodge at 195 Main Street, under the Pergola in the Lorraine Martin Memorial Garden at the rear of the building. All are invited to attend.
“While Flag Day does not receive the pomp and circumstance of other holidays like the Fourth of July, honoring our nation’s flag instills in our children a sense of reverence and patriotism for our great nation,” said Lupinacci. “The stars and stripes are a visual representation of the many values and ideals we hold dear. Today, the flag remains a symbol of our nation and all that has gone into making our country the place it is today.”
