LUPINACCI URGES RESIDENTS TO PREPARE FOR UPCOMING HURRICANE SEASON DURING HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS WEEK

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) is using Hurricane Preparedness Week to remind residents to make the necessary preparations for the upcoming hurricane season. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.

“Hurricane Sandy demonstrated the devastating impact that can be had on our community in only a short period of time,” said Lupinacci. “Even today, communities across Long Island are still feeling the effects of the storm. Hurricane Preparedness Week provides our community with the chance to get ready for the upcoming season and remind residents of the potentially deadly effects. I strongly encourage residents to create a plan, build a kit and do everything they can to prepare for a potential storm.”
