“With little time left in the legislative session, the Assembly Democrats must not fail New York’s women for the second year in a row. The Senate has acted, they have done their part and passed 9 of the 10 points of the Women’s Equality Agenda. We have heard many advocates say “Nine is not enough,” but doing nothing would be even worse. Preventing human trafficking, affirming pay equity, establishing further sexual harassment protections, safeguarding victims of domestic violence, ensuring proper care during pregnancy and ending housing discrimination are important issues and they deserve a vote. I urge the speaker and my colleagues in the Majority to do the right thing for New York and bring each of the 10 bills up individually for a vote,” said Lupinacci.
