A Major Mortgage Lender Just Opened A New HQ In Melville — Here’s What It Means
The new 30,000-square-foot Melville headquarters will serve as a national hub for lending, training, and digital media, officials say.

MELVILLE, NY — Nationwide Mortgage Bankers, one of the top mortgage lenders in New York State and the largest non-bank lender on Long Island, has opened its new national headquarters at 1305 Walt Whitman Road in Melville, company officials said.
The move marks a significant investment in the region’s housing economy and signals the next phase of the company’s national expansion.
The newly built-out, approximately 30,000-square-foot headquarters is located in a Class A building owned and operated by The Feil Organization. The facility brings more than 100 jobs to the site, with plans to hire dozens more as operations grow.

Local and regional leaders attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, including Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, and Suffolk County Police Chief William Doherty, along with representatives from real estate and first responders.
“This is all about getting people into their dreams, getting a home,” said Richard Steinberg, chairman and founder of Nationwide Mortgage Bankers. “What is the greatest way to build wealth in America? Homeownership. And what we do is we help people get their dream.”

The Melville headquarters will serve as the company’s national operations hub and a collaborative center for real estate professionals. The space includes a digital media studio, podcast production center, and a 65-seat high-tech training facility designed for industry education and professional development.
“Our facilities were designed to include cutting-edge technologies to support the work of our loan officers, realty and corporate partners,” said Michael Brennan, president of Nationwide Mortgage Bankers. “We want to expand consumers’ access to financial literacy and empower prospective borrowers with housing insights.”
Officials said the company is positioning itself to support a wide range of borrowers — from first-time buyers and younger professionals entering the housing market to older homeowners exploring refinancing, downsizing, or home equity options.
As part of its community involvement, the company has also supported public safety initiatives, including the creation of the Nassau Police Training Village and the donation of a mounted unit horse named “Hudson” to the Nassau County Police Department.
“It’s great to have partnerships like this for everything they do for law enforcement and for the men and women that go out there and serve,” Ryder said. “It’s nice to be supported by those that give back to us.”
Nationwide Mortgage Bankers is the parent company of Americasa, First Veterans Mortgage, and Lending to Heroes, offering specialized services for Hispanic families, military members, veterans, and first responders. The company provides a range of residential financing options, including purchase loans, refinancing, FHA and conventional mortgages, first-time homebuyer programs, and construction lending.
“What we need to do is make sure that we support businesses like this, one that creates jobs,” Blakeman said. “By creating jobs, you are creating prosperity not just for your company, but when people move into a new home, they spend money fixing it up… it all builds the economy.”
