Making History: Huntington High Senior Qualifies for U.S. Olympic Trials

A Huntington High School senior has qualified for the U.S. Olympic swimming team trials, which makes him a possible contender in the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, officials said.

The Blue Devil Star has already earned gold and silver medals when competing in the New York State Championships.
Coached on the Huntington team by Gil Smith, Cassell is considered “the best swimmer in the program’s history,” according to the Huntington Public School District’s website.
