Huntington Man Burglarized Multiple Homes And A Business: Police
The man was arrested in connection with four burglaries since early August, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — A Huntington man who burglarized multiple homes and a business in the area since August was arrested on Tuesday, Suffolk police said.
Police responded to Glenna Little Trail on Tuesday afternoon after receiving a report of a suspicious man in the area. Officers found Scott Hlenski, 39, who was in possession of drugs, at approximately 2:45 p.m., police said.
Hlenski is responsible for the following burglaries, police said:

- A home on Lovers Lane, Huntington, on Aug. 10.
- Village Touch Free Car Wash, located at 139 New York Ave., Huntington, on Sept. 4.
- A home on Titus Lane, Cold Spring Harbor, on Sept. 18.
- A home on Goose Hill Road, Cold Spring Harbor, on Sept. 24.
Hlenski was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, second-degree attempted burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal trespass, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Hlenski was held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
