Man Buys 2 Puppies With Another Person's Credit Information: SCPD

He opened a line of credit and bought two Yorkshire Terrier puppies, costing someone else thousands, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who used another person's information to buy two puppies in Huntington Station in October.

A man opened a line of credit at The Canine Corral, located at 1845 New York Ave., and bought two Yorkshire Terrier puppies on Oct. 28. It was determined that he used someone else's information to open the line of credit, police said. The alleged fraudulent purchase was reported to police in December. The puppies are valued at around $4,500, and the man is wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
