Man Shot To Death In Suffolk: Police

The man answered a knock at his front door when he was shot and killed, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A man was shot to death at his Huntington Station home early Tuesday, Suffolk police said.

Byron Martinez, 23, was shot at his Fifth Avenue home when he answered a knock at the door around 1:15 a.m., police said.

Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
