Man Shot in Huntington Station Drives Himself to Hospital

The 22-year-old was shot Thursday night near a middle school, police say.

A 22-year-old man drove himself to the hospital after he was shot in near a middle school in Huntington Station Thursday night, police say.

According to authorities, the man was sitting in his vehicle on East 20th Street, near Silas Wood Sixth Grade Center, when he was shot in the shoulder at 11:45 p.m.

The man drove himself to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

This incident is under investigation. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
