- East Northport man underreported income to claim over $50G in assistance. Otari Bater, 49, was overpaid benefits of about $58,941.65 through Nassau's Department of Social Services and the state's Health Benefits Exchange. He received Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance for his family between Jan. 2018 and Jan. 2020. (Patch)
- Glass recycling returns to Town of Oyster Bay. Supervisor Saladino said, “Residents can help protect the environment and turn trash into cash by recycling glass and cardboard boxes on their regular recycling collection day. In addition to expanding the recycling program to include additional types of plastic, we will also return glass to the recycling stream. The Town of Oyster Bay is committed to being a regional recycling leader and I thank you in advance for helping us reach that goal. " (LongIsland.com)
