Man Uses Knife To Threaten Huntington Station Shop Employee: Police

The man was trying to steal merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue when he pulled a knife on an employee, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, threatened a store employee during an attempt to steal merchandise from a Huntington Station store.

A man tried to steal clothing from Saks Fifth Avenue, at 230 Walt Whitman Road, at 4:30 p.m. Monday, police said. An employee attempted to stop the man, who then threatened the employee with a knife, police said. The man dropped the clothing and drove away in a black Nissan Sentra, police said. He is wanted for menacing.

A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
