A fully funded Melville-based training program is now accepting applications and a pathway into the in-demand plumbing trade, organizers say

MELVILLE, NY — Enrollment is now open for the next class at the Plumbing Contractors Association of Long Island’s Plumbing Institute, a fully funded training program designed to prepare the next generation of licensed plumbers while creating a direct pathway to employment.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply soon, as admission is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The program is limited to 25 participants.

The institute, which welcomed its first class in September, provides students with a foundation to begin a career in plumbing at no cost. The program combines hands-on training with real-world experience, giving participants the practical skills needed to enter the service and maintenance plumbing field.

The Plumbing Contractors Association of Long Island works to advance the industry across Nassau and Suffolk counties and promotes the use of licensed professionals to ensure safety and quality in plumbing services.

Joe Enea, director of the PCALI Plumbing Institute, said students in the current cohort have already benefited from strong industry exposure and networking opportunities.

“Our goal is to develop well-trained plumbers, and it all starts right here,” Enea said. “Our current students have already benefited exponentially from the network of industry professionals they have met and learned from.
