Most Beautiful Places In Huntington Get Recognized

Businesses, offices and residences that make the Town of Huntington a more beautiful place were named winners of the 40th Annual Beautification Awards.

The Town Council and Huntington Supervisor Frank P. Petrone congratulated the winners on April 4. The Beautification Awards are given to projects that the Council feels have improved the appearance of the Town. This award has been given out since 1976.

The winners were selected by the Town’s Beautification Council, and covered multiple categories. Dr. William Walter, chair of the council, announced the winners and presented as a slide show at the meeting.

The winners were:

• Residential: Candice Baranello; Natalie Conte; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Breland; Vincent and Marian McCann; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Murray; and Vincent and Jennifer Serso
• Professional Office: Susan and Andrew Giambertone Architects, located at 62 Elm St.
• Small Business: CVS in Halesite
• Bank Office: First National Bank of Long Island, located at 253 New York Ave.
• Restaurant: Mr. Sausage, located at 3 Union Place, and The Clubhouse, located at 320 W Jericho Turnpike
