Huntington will be using Howl.com to share relevant information about our community, keeping us safer and informed. Early registration.

Huntington currently has a crime index of 60%, meaning that based on National crime data Huntington's crime rate is lower than approximately 41% of New York Communities.

Howl is a free Neighborhood Watch online platform that will make residents of Huntington safer. Safer in their homes via its hands-free voice activated alarm, and safer in your community by keeping you informed via Howl's interactive reporting map.

Voice Activated Alert- A simple three-word command can sound an alarm and send a distress signal to emergency contacts. Howl's hands-free voice alert works on your smartphone, Amazon Echo, or Google Home. It's faster, and more effective than traditional security- and it's free.

Child Abduction Broadcast- If a young child were to go missing or abducted, users can broadcast an alert to all Howl users within a mile radius

Interactive Map- Engage other residents productively by pinning pictures and videos to an interactive map. If your property has been vandalized, pin it to the map and engage with other residents that have experienced the same criminal activity, and come together to find a resolution. Communication is key, and information is power.
