  1. Four new businesses are coming to Huntington. The Container Store is headed to the Huntington Shopping Center, while Burger Village, LoveSac and Just Salad will be loctated in the center’s new pad site on Route 110 in Huntington Station, Huntington Now reported. (Huntington Patch)
  2. Minuteman Press celebrates 45 years in town. The location at 46 Gerard St. was one of the first Minuteman Press locations to open in 1977. “I think print has longevity to it vs. other forms of advertising like tv/radio and online ads," owner John Titus said via news release. "Whether it’s the signs we see or business cards and postcards in people’s hands, print definitely hangs around and is not so quickly forgotten.”(Huntington Patch)
  3. Huntington Town Board votes to rename part of Railroad Street to honor slain paramedic. Alison Russo-Elling, 61, was an EMS lieutenant with the FDNY and a longtime volunteer with the Huntington Community First Aid Squad. She was stabbed to death on a street while on a lunchbreak near her firehouse in Astoria, Queens. (Huntington Now)

  • Huntington Union Free School District: Blue Devil fencing to host tournament on Saturday. Some of Long Island’s best fencing teams will be at Huntington High School’s Louis D.
