New Dog Park for Homeless Pups Opens in Huntington

The park will help the dogs become better equipped to find a forever home.

A new dog park that will help homeless dogs find their new homes opens Tuesday in Huntington.

A piece of overgrown land was transformed into a functional park that will allow canine residents at Little Shelter Animal Rescue to exercise and socialize outside.

“We are so grateful to our friends from Signature Cares, Signature Park at Little Shelter is gorgeous” said Maryann Chernovsky, Volunteer President of Little Shelter. “Not only will the new park enhance the six acres of property at Little Shelter, it will also enhance the lives of the dogs, and for that we couldn’t happier.” states Chernovsky.
