New Heckscher Park Fence To Be Installed By Month's End
"This beautiful new fence complements the natural beauty of Heckscher Park," Supervisor Chad Lupinacci says.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci revealed the new perimeter fence at Heckscher Park, for which installation is expected to be completed by the end of January, the Town of Huntington announced.
"This beautiful new fence complements the natural beauty of Heckscher Park and represents a
substantial investment in the beautification of the Town’s most heavily-used park, which is
home to the Town’s most significant cultural resource, the Heckscher Museum of Art, which
celebrates its centennial this year," Lupinacci said via press release.
At the recommendation of the EOSPA Committee and with the support of the Huntington
Historic Preservation Commission, the Town Board, at its May 29, 2019 meeting, authorized up
to $300,000 from the EOSPA Park Improvement fund for a boundary survey and replacement of
the old chain link perimeter fence with new estate steel picket fencing in anticipation of the
Heckscher Park Museum of Art Centennial in 2020.
