- A new highway maintenance facility was unveiled Monday in the town of Huntington. The state-of-the-art facility was unveiled by the New York State Department of Transportation and will be used to service state roads across Suffolk County. "The Department of Transportation has one of the most elite snow fighting forces in the nation and this state-of-the art facility will help our dedicated workers do their jobs even better and be ready for the ever-growing consequences of extreme weather," said Marie Therese Dominguez, commissioner of the state's department of transportation. - Dancers at North Shore Dance in Huntington will share a stage with Rockettes today. The group of 50 dancers will be performing in the pre-show at the 2 p.m. showing of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. The dance students auditioned this fall for a chance to dance before an audience at the famous Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan. (Greater Long Island)
