Otto Kahn Scholarships Available At Town Of Huntington High Schools: Oheka Castle

Scholarships are available to seniors planning on majoring in the performing arts, visual arts or music. Here's how to apply.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Town of Huntington high school seniors who plan to major in the arts in college can pick up an application for the Otto Kahn Scholarship at their high school, Friends of Oheka announced.

The scholarships are available to students who will be attending college in the fall and are majoring in the performing arts, visual arts or music. Students should check with their high school guidance office or principal’s office for the applications which are due by March 28, according to Friends of Oheka.

Applications are available at the following high schools: Cold Spring Harbor, Half Hollow Hills East, Half Hollow Hills West, Harborfields, Huntington, John Glenn, Northport and Walt Whitman.

Winners will receive awards at the castle's annual Garden Party on Wednesday, May 15. Their talents will be shared at the gala. Friends of Oheka President Ellen Schaffer urged all eligible students to apply before the March 28 deadline.

"Awarding the Otto Kahn Scholarships is the highlight of our year," Schaffer said in a news release.

Friends of Oheka has raised more than $200,000 since 2003 for deserving students.
