Police Release New Information on Huntington Station Hit-and-Run
The hit-and-run crash occurred Tuesday morning.

UPDATED Thursday at at 3:01 p.m.:
The hit-and-run driver was operating a 2003 to 2005 black Honda Pilot when he or she struck a pedestrian, causing him serious injuries, in Huntington Station Tuesday morning, police say.
The vehicle sustained front-end damage.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

A Huntington Station man is in serious condition after he was struck by a driver that fled the scene in Huntington Station Tuesday morning, police say.
According to authorities, William Alvarez-Jovel, 41, was attempting to cross New York Avenue and West Hills Road when he was struck by a dark-colored sport utility vehicle that fled northbound on New York Avenue at 1:51 a.m.
The Huntington Community First Aid Squad transported Alvarez-Jovel to Huntington Hospital where he was admitted with serious head and internal injuries.
