Pedestrian Seriously Hurt In Huntington Station Hit-And-Run: SCPD
The driver of a dark-colored sedan hit the man and drove off without stopping on Sunday morning, police say.
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Huntington Station early Sunday, Suffolk police said.
Jiron Santos-Porfiro, 42, of Huntington Station, was on the east side of New York Avenue at East 14th Street when he was struck by a vehicle heading northbound on New York Avenue at 12:50 a.m., police said. A dark-colored sedan drove away without stopping, police said.
Santos-Porfiro was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
