Residents, business and community leaders alike celebrated Huntington Awareness Day Saturday, Sept. 6, to celebrate “Unity in the Community” in Huntington Station.
This year’s grand marshals were Tom Jerideau and Tony Mastroianni, both leaders in the Huntington Community and Huntington’s own World champion boxer, Chris Algieri.

Neighbors and visitors lined New York Avenue for the parade and enjoyed the day-long festival at the Northwest LIRR commuter parking lot.
And once again, this year’s event also included a pet parade.
