- Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver. A woman was seriously injured Dec. 29 when she tried to cross New York Avenue by Huntington Library and was hit by a vehicle. She was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital and the driver fled the scene heading south. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Daily Voice)
