Police Seek Vandals Who Fled in Boat
The four males damaged a building in Centerport last week, police say.
Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate four people who vandalized a building in Centerport last week.
According to police, four males damaged a door and a roof panel on a vacant building on the property of the Vanderbilt Museum, located at 180 Little Neck Road, on Aug. 14 at about 3 p.m. After being noticed by a witness, the men fled in a red boat that was parked on the beach, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
