Remembering The Fallen: Honoring Huntington's 9/11 Victims
It's been 20 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Forty-three local residents were among the nearly 3,000 people killed.
HUNTINGTON, NY — It's been 20 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Attacks which shook the core of local communities, states, and the entire nation. Everyone remembers where they were that day and what they were doing when they heard the news of the tragedy.
But time never stops flowing. Children yet to be born at the time of the attacks learn about them in school, not having lived through them. That's why now, more than ever, it's important to remember all of the people who died on that day.
Nearly 3,000 people died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks 20 years ago. Forty-three Huntington residents were among those killed.
