Retiring Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia Honored By Huntington Town Board
An 11-minute video presentation, which can be watched in the story below, was shown at the December Huntington Town Board meeting.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia, who is set to retire from public office at the end of the year, was honored at her final Town Board meeting on Dec. 17, the Town announced.
The board meeting began with an 11-minute video presentation highlighting Raia's 38-year trailblazing legacy. The video was produced by the Town Clerk's Archives staff.
After the video was shown, there was a presentation made to Raia by the office of Attorney General Letitia James, the Town Board, Assemblyman and Town Clerk-elect Andrew Raia, who is her son, and the Huntington Fire Department. The Town Board then offered Raia with a plaque and flowers honoring her service.

Later in the meeting, Raia was appointed to the Town of Huntington Citizen’s Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities and the Beautification Council.
In addition to honoring Raia, the Town Board also proposed a measure to reduce yardwaste collection costs and approved a major fire safety initiative.
