S. Huntington Library Offers Free Online Access to Movies, Music, eBooks

All you need is a library card.

South Huntington Public Library launched a new Netflix-like service Monday that provides free online and mobile access to library card-holders.

Thousands of library goers will now have 24/7 access to more than 500,000 movies, music, eBooks and more through a service called hoopla digital.

The South Huntington Public Library is the No. 40 library system in New York to offer hoopla to its patrons.

This service allows patrons to enjoy on-demand content through their smartphones, tablets, PCs, Apple TV, and Chromecast.

Hoopla offers content from major Hollywood movies, publishers and record companies such as “The Muppet Movie,” Amy Poehler’s “Yes Please,” “Suicide Squad” (Vol. 1-5), the Grammy-winning original Broadway cast recording of “Hamilton” and many others.
