Here are the top four stories today in Huntington:
- Sammis Street Historic District expands and renamed. The change came after a Huntington Town Board Vote last week in which the district was renamed to South Village Historic District. The district will now take up several streets in the neighborhood, not just Sammis Street. (Huntington Patch)
- Little Shelter's Semi-Annual Raffle to be held on Jan. 7. Tickets are $100 each and it is one of Little Shelter's biggest events of the year. Prizes include a new car and $25,000 cash. There are plenty of pets available for adoption this year, and you can see a video in the link. (NBC New York)
- Check out the Huntington real estate roundup. You can see new homes on the market and upcoming open houses by clicking the link. You can always head to our real estate section to stay up to date on the local market as well. (Huntington Patch)
