SANTAPORT Fair, a Holiday Tradition in Centerport

On Saturday, November 19th, Centerport United Methodist Church will transform into Santaport, a Christmas fair and marketplace featuring an array of boutiques, an interactive area for children with games and crafts, a luncheon café, and musical entertainment. Santa Claus will be on hand for visits and $10 photographs with children of all ages. An annual Centerport tradition for more than 60 years, Santaport is an extravaganza of holiday fun for everyone.

This highly anticipated seasonal celebration features a variety of attractions, including:

Trim-a-Tree: Handcrafted decorative items, Christmas ornaments, candles, wreaths and gifts galore!

Photos with Santa Claus: Just $10, the best deal on Long Island! Bring the family for a professionally photographed visit with everyone’s favorite jolly old elf (includes a print and digital photo file).

White Elephant Marketplace: A treasure trove of vintage housewares, antiques & collectibles. Also featuring a Dollar Annex shop—everything for just $1.

Culinary Food Hall: A delectable assortment of gourmet baked goods and prepared foods to take home, including CUMC’s famous quiches and soups.

Jewelry Shop: Customers line up early for Santaport’s jewelry boutique offering new & vintage jewelry and women’s accessories.

Men’s World: This Santaport tradition has something for everyone–women and kids too! Electronics, tools, sporting goods, small household appliances, furniture, books, CDs, DVDs, computer equipment, attic treasures, etc.

Silent Auction: Expanded this year with a wide array of unique experiences including a dessert of the month and dinner of the month series; a custom designed mural painted by decorative artist Philip Jordan; luxury items, gift baskets, gift cards and much more.

Toy Shop: Gently used books, games, puzzles, and toys of all kinds.

Centerport United Methodist Church has been hosting community fairs and festivals for more than a century. In its early years, CUMC hosted summer festivals at its original location at the corner of Little Neck Road and 25A. In the late 1950s through to the early 1960s, CUMC saluted the community’s waterfront heritage with the Centerport Sea Fair. After moving into its current building in 1979, CUMC expanded and evolved its Sea Fair into the Christmas celebration now known as Santaport, which today is regarded as a must-attend holiday event for everyone in the surrounding communities.

Santaport will be held Saturday, November 19th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Centerport United Methodist Church, 97 Little Neck Road. There are no outside vendors. For more information, please call (631) 261-5222.
