Man Charged In Knifepoint Robberies: PD

Police said he robbed two Huntington Station businesses at knifepoint in about 24 hours.

HUNTINGTON, NY — A Selden man has been charged in three Huntington Station robberies —two at knifepoint — over a week, Suffolk police said Friday.

In the first robbery, Kristian Falterman forcibly stole money and two cell phones from an employee at Sugar Pine Spa on New York Avenue, on Jan. 11 at about 11:15 a.m., police said. Then one week later on Jan. 18 at about 8:40 p.m., he returned to spa armed with a knife, and stole money from an employee, said police, adding, that the next day, he also used a knife to rob an employee of cash at Venom Smoke Shop on Jericho Turnpike just after 9 p.m.

No one was injured in the robberies, police said.
