Senator Gaughran Drops Off Back-to-School Supplies at Tri CYA

Children received boxes of school supplies and backpacks.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Senator Jim Gaughran dropped of more than a dozen boxes filled with back-to-school supplies and backpacks at Tri Community and Youth Agency, ‘Tri CYA,’ in Huntington on Thursday, his office announced.

Gaughran and Legislator Doc Spencer collected supplies from across the district as part of a back-to-school supply drive on behalf of Tri CYA. Tri CYA provides the supplies to local community children to ensure a successful school year.

"A strong education is the cornerstone for success in our youth," Gaughran said. "Ensuring our students have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom is vitally important to ensuring they thrive during the school year. Thank you to Tri CYA for all of the great work that they do in supporting our students and making sure they are prepared for school."
