The Show Must Go On at Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts

Broadway talent Danyel Fulton, Douglas Lyons, and Ted Arthur Perform at Usdan on July 10 Despite Area Power Outage

Broadway’s Danyel Fulton and Douglas Lyons, accompanied by Ted Arthur, took to the stage at Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts on Tuesday, July 10 as part of the camp’s 50th Anniversary Festival season.

Due to a local brown-out, the three performed without amplification for the close to 1600 students. The set included some of their favorite songs from shows in which they’ve appeared including Ragtime, The Wiz and Violet. Later, the three did a talkback with Usdan’s Institute students, sharing stories about how they got started and offering advice for the young creatives.

Lyons, who has performed in Broadway and touring casts for shows including Book of Mormon and RENT said, “Use college to explore every part of yourselves. You don’t know what parts you will be called upon to use.”
