Slashing in Huntington Station Leads to Arrest

A man was seriously injured from the Tuesday morning attack, police say.

A Huntington Station man faces assault charges after police say he slashed another man, causing him serious injuries Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, police responded to a Fairground Avenue home in Huntington Station after a 911 caller said a man was slashed at approximately 11:45 a.m.

The man, identified as 38-year-old Juan Rosa Corrado, was transported to Huntington Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Camilo Rivera. He was charged with first-degree assault.

Rivera will be held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
