Software Company Opens for Business
Work Market to have grand opening in downtown office.

Software company Work Market will have its grand opening Wednesday in Huntington.
The company, located at 14 Wall St., is a beneficiary of the Suffolk County Industrial Agency's Boost program. That progam is designed "to assist entrepreneurs in creating good paying jobs in growth sectors of the economy," the IDA says.
The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m.

"Work Market was the first company of its size in Suffolk that received benefits from the IDA's Boost program," Steve Rossetti, IDA secretary, said. "Work Market is a software company that has pledged to bring over 20 jobs at an average salary of approximately $90k to our downtown.
"This type of company will mean a lot to the economy to our downtown and we should be able to see immediate results."

He said other software companies are in discussion to move into the downtown area. "Huntington is about to become Tech Town," Rossetti said.
