South Huntington 2023-24 School Budget Passes Handily
The two school board candidates ran unopposed.
SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the South Huntington School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2023-24 school budget by a margin of 824 votes to 318.
The district's budget is $209,068,729, up 6.94 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $123,659,569, up 1.5 percent.
Andrew Bronson and Sidney Joyner ran unopposed for two South Huntington Board of Education seats. Bronson received 941 votes, while Joyner got 868 votes.
