"The New York State Department of Transportation worked closely with the production company to implement detours that assure the safety of motorists and minimize distractions and the impact on the community by closing the roadway during overnight hours when most people are sleeping and the fewest vehicles are on the road," spokesperson Eileen Peters said.
The production company assured the NYSDOT that it would notify all local businesses and affected area residents, Peters said.
Sources say that scenes will be shot at the Mill Pond restaurant and at a private home on Prospect Street in Centerport.
According to Emily Griffin's web site, "Something Borrowed" tells the story of Rachel, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. Rachel has always been the consummate good girl---until her thirtieth birthday, when her best friend, Darcy, throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks, Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiancé.
