Suffolk Marathon Bio: Elizabeth Arato of Huntington

Elizabeth Arato, of Huntington, will toe the line alongside many other runners to compete in the inaugural Suffolk Half Marathon on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Arato has been running in local road races for 25 year and has been competing in triathlons and duathlons for 18 years. She has run the Long Island Half Marathon twice.

“I usually stick to the Tris and duathlons over there summer, but I wanted to change up my training this year and decided to run the inaugural Suffolk Half,” Arato said.
